KriegerMod – Life and Combat System

By MaveHD & Nxton

📜 Description

This mod adds a life system where players lose one life each time they die in combat. When a player reaches 0 lives, they get kicked from the server! Additionally, it features a combat system that marks players for PvP for a certain duration, along with duels and special items like the Lifesaver, which protects a life.

✨ Features

✔ Life System – Every player starts with 3 hearts. You lose one heart each time you die in combat.
✔ Combat Mode – PvP activates a countdown timer (30–320 seconds). Logging out during this time still costs you a life!
✔ Duels – Challenge other players with /duel and fight without losing lives.
✔ Lifesaver Item – Protects you from losing a life (wearable as a Curio).
✔ Dynamic Combat Duration – The lower your health, the longer the combat mode lasts.
✔ Broadcast Messages – Epic death announcements visible to all players.
✔ Persistent Data – Player lives are saved in playerLives.json.

⚙️ Commands

/playerlives check/set – Displays the remaining lives of all players and allows setting those values.
/restoreplayer [player] – Restores a player back to the server if they were kicked due to losing all lives (OP only).
/duel [player] – Starts a fair duel with another player.

⏰ Future Updates

Important note:

This mod was developed independently by us, but is based in many aspects on the well-known Minecraft Helden mod. We would like to openly and honestly point out that our KriegerMod is based on this model in terms of structure and gameplay, as I found the concept of the Helden mod very exciting and successful.

Despite the obvious parallels, this is not a copy, but rather our own project with our own implementation, our own ideas, and extensions. Our goal was to create a similar gaming experience, while setting our own priorities and further developing the system according to our own ideas.

We greatly respect the work behind the original mod and do not want to give the impression that our project is simply copying it, but rather developing it further in a creative way.
