Mind of the Colony is a revolutionary addon for MineColonies that breathes life into every single one of your citizens. Powered by the groundbreaking Player2 AI, this mod transforms your silent workers into living, feeling individuals with unique personalities, memories, and voices.

This isn't just a chatbot gimmick — it's a deep, systemic integration that makes your colony feel truly alive. This mod was created by Goodbird for the Player2 AI Game Jam.

Features

• 🗣️ Real Conversations, Not Scripts: Walk up to any citizen and talk to them using natural language in chat. No clunky menus or predefined text. Ask them how their day is going, what they need, or what they think of your latest building project.
• 🧠 Living Personalities: Each citizen's personality is dynamically shaped by their life in your colony. Their job, happiness, family, and recent events all influence how they respond. Your cheerful baker will sound very different from a guard who just survived a pirate raid!
• 💡 Truly Aware Citizens: A colonist knows if the warehouse is full, if their tools are about to break, or if it's nighttime. They'll complain, celebrate, and share gossip based on the actual state of your colony.

Simple 2-Step Setup

Getting your colony talking is incredibly easy!

Step 1: The AI Brain (Required Player2 App)

The advanced AI that gives your citizens their unique personalities runs through the Player2 desktop application. Think of it as the "brain" for your NPCs. This is required for the mod to work.

1. Download the Player2 App HERE
2. Install and run the application. It sits quietly in the background and connects to your game automatically.
   
   

Step 2: The Mod Itself

This is a standard Forge mod that works alongside MineColonies.

1. Make sure you have Forge and MineColonies installed.
2. Download the latest version of Mind of the Colony from the Files tab.
3. Drop the JAR file into your mods folder.
4. Launch Minecraft!
   
   

How to Play

It's as simple as walking and talking:

1. Load up your world with a MineColonies settlement.
2. Walk up to any of your citizens.
3. Open the chat box and say hello!

That's it! Nearby citizens will hear you and respond. Try asking them questions about their job, their family, or the state of the colony.
