Player Data Fix - Overview:

This mod reworks how minecraft handles storing player data - things like inventory, health, hunger, and your current position.

But what does that mean for you, and your use case? I've split the description up in several kinds of scenarios where this mod would make life a hell of a lot easier. It fixes headaches when it comes to things like server administration, switching accounts in a singleplayer world, and even has the capability to add MMO-style character switching to your game with support for mods like Origins, Vampirism, and MCA.

For Singleplayer and Account Switching

Here's a scenario - you have two accounts, and one singleplayer world. You load the world with account A, and you play the game. You have stuff in your inventory, you're far away from where you started, and then you close the world. Then you switch to account B, and load the world again- then you find that you're exactly where you left off with account A, with the same inventory, location, gamemode, and everything.

That's all well and good, but what if you actually want to use two diffirent accounts like, you know... two diffirent accounts? You want to load into the same world with account B, and be somewhere else, and in the case of mods, be something else? Maybe you want to switch things up with Vampirism and Origins, or try a diffirent set of weapons and spells like any good MMO? This mod makes it possible, and if you use a something like In-game Account Switcher, you can do it infinitely and easily without even having a second account.

For Server Admins

The scenario - you're in charge of a server, and for some reason or another, you want to give the world to the server's players as a download. Now, let's say you have a player named Fred, and he's logged in a few times. So, Fred downloads the world and expects to see whatever he had in his inventory around then- but wait, he has the inventory of someone else entirely? That's not good.

If Fred has this mod installed, this occasional issue would be resolved. The mod would check the world folder for Fred's file in the 'playerdata' folder, and load it instead of what is stored in the world's main level data file. That's one of the things this mod does.

Another function this mod adds is the /playerdata command. You can use it to copy or reset player data in game.

/playerdata <playerTarget> <playerSource>

Where is the player whose data you're copying to, and is where you're copying from. can also be set to 'new' to reset the player's data.

TL,DR. What the Hell Does It Do?

It makes Minecraft less dumb with keeping people's stuff.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: This mod will have bugs. It is in early stages, and my modding experience is next to none. Use with caution.
