PressureMod – Add pressure mechanics to Minecraft
This mod introduces a pressure system that adds danger and depth to your adventures underground, underwater, in the Nether, and in the End. The deeper or more extreme the environment, the stronger the pressure effect becomes.
To survive, you'll need armor — the better the armor, the lower you can safely go. Pressure will also affect you if you move too fast vertically (e.g. falling or rising faster than 15 blocks per second) without proper protection.
The mod was inspired by the classic Pressure mod, originally made for older Minecraft versions. Since it wasn't available for newer versions, I created this one from scratch.
Commands The mod includes several simple commands for control and debugging:
-
/pressuresystem on / /pressuresystem off Enables or disables the pressure system.
-
/pressuresystem Prints the current pressure system status (on/off) in chat.
-
/pressuresystem hud on / /pressuresystem hud off Enables or disables the on-screen pressure level display (shown at the top of the screen).
-
/pressuresystem hud Prints the current HUD status (on/off) in chat.
All commands are available to players with operator (OP) permission.
Recommended mods to use alongside:
-
YUNG's Better Caves / Cave Biomes – for deeper and more complex cave systems
-
Majrusz's Progressive Difficulty – to enhance challenge and effects
Perfect for hardcore survival modpacks or anyone looking to add more realism and danger to exploration.
