Frequently Asked Questions
How to become a Wraith?
You need to be a Demon and simply right-click your respawn point (bed, respawn anchor, etc.) while incorporeal.
To return back, use a Cure or Demon Vessel (can be obtained from Morticians).
How to "rise from the ground"?
Press the dissociation keybind (check your control settings) while surrounded by blocks.
While incorporeal, you can phase through blocks by pressing into them.
How to roast a spider eye?
Just place it on a regular campfire!
What does "Second Wind" protect against?
This effect protects against most environmental damage:
- Fire
- Suffocation
- Falling
- Drowning
- Drying out (for mobs like squids)
- Water damage (for Endermen and Origins)
- Cramming (too many mobs in one place)
How does "Memento Mori" work?
"Memento Mori" levels accumulate when curing with an active Attrition level.
These Attrition levels are safely stored until your next death, after which they instantly return.
Levels gradually decrease over time, so just... don't die! (Or disable/configure through game rules)
What is "host rebellion"?
At high Attrition levels (default is 4 levels) after host death, something special happens!
Your host revives with full health, kicks you out, and steals your items! The newly born rebel also receives the Bulwark effect, which prevents you from possessing it again.
Don't worry - the mob is marked as persistent, and your items can be recovered by defeating it!
What is "detection balancing"?
Even after the detection mechanic was added to vanilla Requiem, it's still too easy to explore dungeons and take loot without risk.
Therefore, a new feature was added: at least one hostile mob in a small (configurable) radius will always attack the player. Now you'll have to be more attentive to your surroundings - no more free loot!
