Additional Armoury
The Additional Armoury mod expands Minecraft's arsenal with two new melee weapon types, two ranged options (including an enchantment-based magic system), and two additional materials for armor and tools.
The main goal of this addition is to offer players completely new tactics and gameplay styles while maintaining harmony with Minecraft's vanilla aesthetic.
Melee Weapons
Daggers
Daggers represent high-speed weapons with increased attack frequency but lower damage than swords. Their unique feature is the ability to apply potions, similar to arrows. Each used potion adds 8 uses to the dagger, with a maximum limit of 64 uses.
With a full charge, the dagger applies the potion effect to the target. This behavior is modified by special enchantments:
- Adhesive - provides unlimited potion use but is incompatible with Mending and accelerates wear
- Splatter - spreads the potion effect to nearby enemies, similar to Sweeping Edge, but consumes more charges
Daggers belong to the dual weapon category and are compatible with the Dual Swords mod.
Maces
Maces are powerful but slow weapons that reduce the effectiveness of an opponent's armor with critical strikes. They are particularly effective in PvP encounters, allowing increased damage against well-protected opponents.
Special mace enchantments:
- Shredding - extends the duration of armor weakening
- Dismantle - deals additional durability damage to the opponent's armor
Ranged Weapons
Boomerangs
The boomerang is a unique throwing weapon that operates according to physics laws. When thrown, the item doesn't leave the inventory but enters a cooldown state. The boomerang's special feature is its ability to return to the owner after ricocheting, which allows reducing cooldown time.
A standard boomerang makes one ricochet before returning. Special upgrades:
- Ricochet - increases the number of bounces
- Strong Arm - increases damage
- Discus - increases flight range
- Multithrow - launches three boomerangs simultaneously
Staves
Staves are magical weapons that activate only after enchanting. There are many variants of staff enchantments, each with unique properties and utility functions.
Unlike bows, staves activate when the spell is fully charged, requiring preliminary preparation. Unique staff enchantments can only be found in enchantment tables, Evoker loot, and rare chests.
New Materials
The mod splits endgame progression into three paths. Netherite scraps can be combined with echo shards or popped chorus fruits instead of gold ingots, creating Overneherite and Endernethernite variants.
Armor:
- Netherite - knockback resistance
- Overneherite - increased maximum health
- Endernethernite - movement speed bonus
Weapons:
- Netherite - increased damage compared to diamond
- Overneherite - same damage but increased knockback
- Endernethernite - same damage but higher attack speed
All elements can be combined to create a personalized gameplay style.
