🤖 Advanced Golems
Advanced Golems is a compact modification project that introduces small golems into the game to protect your territory from hostile creatures.
🛠️ Creating a Golem
To create a golem, simply craft the golem spawner and activate it with a right-click on a block.
The golem patrols an area with a radius of 9 blocks (by default) from its home position, attacking all enemies that enter this zone.
A special controller is used to configure the golem.
Using the controller, you can remove a golem, change its home position, or switch its operating mode.
🎛️ Operating Modes
The golem has four main operating modes:
- Aggressive: The golem freely moves around the territory and attacks all hostile mobs within the action zone
- Waiting: The golem remains at its home position until enemies appear in the patrol zone
- Passive: The golem moves around the territory but does not attack enemies
- Standing: The golem stays immobile at its home position and does not perform any actions
An important feature is the immortality of golems (configurable in settings). Instead of dying, they shut down and can be restarted using a golden apple.
🔩 Golem Upgrades
The basic golem has modest characteristics but can be significantly enhanced using various items.
The golem can equip standard weapons and armor, as well as use special upgrades:
- Glistering Melon: Increases the golem's health
- Diamond: Boosts attack damage in addition to equipped weapons
- Sugar: Increases movement and flight speed (can be applied up to 10 times)
- Obsidian: Enhances knockback resistance
- Ghast Tear: Strengthens regeneration abilities
- Magma Cream: Provides immunity to fire
- Glass: Expands the home zone radius
- Carved Pumpkin: Provokes aggression from all nearby hostile mobs
- Flint: Makes the golem's projectiles safe for surroundings
- Nether Star: Gives the golem a jetpack for flight. With ranged weapons, the golem attempts to hover over targets
- Feather: Extends flight duration during combat
🧩 Compatibility
Polymer (Fabric only)
Starting from version 1.1.2, Polymer is supported, allowing the mod to be used server-side only. To activate, set the "Polymer" parameter to true in the configuration. In this mode, golems are displayed as baby zombies.
