About the Modification

Aether: Basic Ores is a fan-made addition for The Aether that introduces various overworld ore variants into the Aether dimension.

The primary goal of this mod is to provide the ability to craft most items (including those from other modifications) without leaving the Aether. This makes every journey to this dimension more exciting and valuable. Additionally, the addition fits with the game's lore: the presence of these ores explains why chests in Aether dungeons contain items made from overworld metals (rings, pendants, gloves, and more).

Features

The main innovation is the addition of stone-encased ores (similar to vanilla deepslate ores, but in Aether style). The set includes coal, copper, iron, gold, diamond, emerald, lapis lazuli, and redstone ores. All of them generate in the Aether dimension from Y-level 0 to 120, forming small clusters in stone blocks throughout. They can be mined using the same pickaxes suitable for their original counterparts.

The mod was developed with modpack usage in mind. It has built-in support for Create (crushing new ores sometimes yields stone). It's also automatically compatible with most existing modifications, including various industrial and tech mods and their processing machinery. This mod is highly recommended if you play with Farmer's Delight and Aether Delight. (Trust me, mining stone-encased iron ore is much more convenient than melting down numerous rings and pendants for iron nuggets just to make a cooking pot).
