The Aevum mod is in the early stages of development. It functions stably during testing, but some errors may occur. All feedback is welcome - use the issue reporting link.

Aevum - Time Manipulation in Minecraft

With the Aevum mod, you gain the ability to control the flow of time in the game world. The modification allows you to undo player death, restore destroyed structures, set temporal traps - and this is just the beginning! Future updates will expand the functionality.

Main Features

Aevum Dust

This unique material is the foundation for creating all items related to time manipulation. It can be found while investigating suspicious blocks at archaeological sites: in desert pyramids, desert wells, ocean ruins, and ancient trails.

Totem of Rewind

A magical artifact that allows avoiding death by reversing time (by default - 200 ticks or 10 seconds). Similar in principle to the Totem of Undying, but consumed upon activation. When used, it restores the player's previous position and health. Crafting requires a Totem of Undying and Aevum Dust.

Rewind Mine

When this block is placed, it creates a snapshot of the local area measuring 7×7×7 blocks with the mine at the center. When any creature steps or lands on the mine, it activates and returns the entire zone to the state of the created snapshot. The mine itself is destroyed in the process, making it a single-use item. The crafting recipe includes Aevum Dust, Redstone, Quartz, a Pressure Plate, and an Echo Shard.

Game Rules

The mod adds several game rules for adjusting the operation of temporal mechanics to suit your needs.

Each saved snapshot increases memory load. For weak systems or servers, it's recommended to increase the interval between snapshots and/or reduce their maximum number.

/gamerule aevumMaxSnapshots

Determines the maximum number of saved player data snapshots (position and health). Default value: 40.

/gamerule aevumTickInterval

Sets the frequency of creating player data snapshots. Default: 5 ticks (quarter of a second).

Known Issues

IMPORTANT: The listed errors do not cause critical failures and do not interfere with using the mod in survival mode. These are visual defects and minor flaws that will make gameplay more realistic in the future.

Issues with Rewind Mine

  • Some blocks do not receive automatic physics updates (for example, signs don't fall when disconnected from other blocks)
  • Dynamic block parts (like piston heads) may restore incorrectly after separating from the main block
  • Blocks from other mods sometimes cannot be reversed due to non-standard serialization formats
