Steely Glint
Steely Glint represents an adaptation of akkamaddi's original creation specifically for Minecraft version 1.7.10. Since steel was already incorporated into the popular Fusion mod, the project was initially suspended for newer game versions. However, with the discontinuation of support for related projects by TheOldOne822, reviving this modification for current releases makes sense.
It introduces four specialized iron alloys into the game: Refined Iron, High Carbon Steel, Low Carbon Steel, and Carbonized Iron. Each material features its own distinctive toolset. For the steel variations, complete armor sets are also available.

Production Process
The technological process combines the capabilities of the fusion forge and crafting table to transform iron ingots into premium materials. The system's foundation is based on creating Carbonized and Refined Iron.

Combining one iron ingot with gunpowder as a catalyst along with coal or charcoal produces a Medium Carbonized Iron Chunk. Using bone meal yields a Medium Refined Iron Chunk.
Small fragments can be consolidated by adding reinforcing catalysts to produce large billets of both varieties.

The base materials offer distinct advantages: Carbonized Iron features exceptional durability, while the Refined variety possesses superior cutting qualities.
Steel Alloy Creation
More complex recipes unlock access to true steel materials.

The technology requires using one portion of bone meal for each Medium Refined Iron Chunk. For Low Carbon Steel, gunpowder is additionally used as a compacting catalyst, while High Carbon Steel utilizes redstone dust. The remaining workspace is filled with coal or charcoal for heat treatment, resulting in Large billets of the corresponding type.
Low Carbon Steel exhibits exceptional hardness, approaching mithril levels, making it an outstanding utilitarian material. The High Carbon variant demonstrates increased brittleness but has much sharper cutting edges, including the ability to mine obsidian thanks to its third mining level.
Iron variations are limited to tools, while steel alloys enable the creation of both tools and complete armor sets.
Production Byproduct
The modification includes an additional recipe for creating Gritty Soot.

Mixing four portions of sugar, four units of coal, and two flints as an activator forms one lump of gritty soot. This product can be smelted:
Into gunpowder for reuse in production cycles.
Currently, Steely Glint items do not appear in random chests, and the chance of mob generation is strictly limited in configuration settings.
Configuration files provide the option to activate the material recycling system. Iron materials use coal as a recycling catalyst, while steel ones require gunpowder.
