Alex's Armoury
Overview
Alex's Armoury is a vanilla+ style modification that significantly expands the weapon arsenal and offers players diverse combat styles. Each new weapon features unique mechanics and abilities, making this mod the spiritual successor to the long-awaited "Combat Update" that Minecraft hasn't received yet. But the developer didn't forget about standard weapons either - all existing melee types have gained new capabilities! These changes don't diminish their current strengths but merely add small enhancements to keep them competitive alongside the new content.
How the Mod Works
After installing the mod and re-entering your world, all standard weapons will receive special abilities and tooltips describing their functions. To obtain new weapons, you'll need to find a weaponsmith or wandering trader (if your weaponsmiths are already maxed out, you'll need to train a new villager). Trade with them until you receive a weapon pattern. Right-click the pattern to see the recipe - you'll need to decipher what Alex intended in his sketches.
Then craft an armourer's table. With the pattern and this table, you can attempt to assemble the specified weapon. Currently, there are 16 new weapon types available, with patterns obtainable through trading.
You'll also need new materials added by the mod. They're essential for crafting weapons after deciphering the patterns. Don't forget to get some crimson fungus to create a Bottle o' Fury - if brewed with awkward potions, this will significantly enhance your PVE and PVP skills!
