Aliven't Messager Mod Overview
Aliven't Messager is a simple yet useful addition that notifies all players in the chat whenever any named mob dies. This solution is ideal for situations where you need to monitor the status of important creatures in your Minecraft world.
Practical Applications:
- Monitoring the functionality of villager-based farms
- Tracking the condition of tamed pets not belonging to standard wolves, cats, or parrots
- Timely detection of missing named mobs for quick replacement
Who Gets Monitored
The notification system covers:
- All named mobs (using name tags or through mods/datapacks)
- All villagers
- Zombie villagers in the conversion process
- Zombie villagers that were previously traders
- Any mobs when the corresponding game rule is activated
Operational Features
Special Cases:
- Named creepers show "blew up" message when exploding
- Creepers ignited by players display killer information with achievement and statistics tracking
- Zombie villagers receive automatic names based on profession with "(Zombie Villager)" notation
- Allays holding items send notifications to the player who gave them the item
Configuration Settings
allMobMessages: Enable notifications for all mobs (default: false)
playerKillMessages: Show messages about player kills (default: false)
villagerMessages: Notifications about villagers and zombie traders (default: true)
loreDrops: Add information to dropped item descriptions (default: true)
nameColour: Colored display of mob names (default: false)
speciesName: Show mob species in brackets (default: false)
aliventMessageServerSpamRemover: Remove duplicate log messages (default: true)
Technical Specifications
Important Points:
- Mod works only on the server side
- Compatible with version 1.20.X, including 24w09a (1.20.5), but Lore Drops function doesn't work
- Requires death messages to be enabled
- Supports any mods and languages, but species names display in server language
- Fish show "drowned" message when out of water
Compatibility and Usage
