Main Features
Minecraft world welcomes a completely new mob - Dog, which naturally spawns in villages. These loyal human friends possess advanced artificial intelligence and come in 9 different color variations!
Regular wolves received a significant AI overhaul - now they behave more "wildly", form packs, and have become more difficult to tame. However, as a reward for your efforts, you'll get a powerful pet.
Among enemies, a new type of pillager has appeared - Houndmaster, who summons Scavengers to aid in combat. These dangerous opponents also participate in raids!
Scavengers - huge ferocious wolves, specially bred by Houndmasters for quick and merciless destruction of enemies.
Special item Whistle, which drops from Houndmasters and is found in Houndmaster Kennels, allows remote control over your pets' behavior.
Houndmaster Kennel - a new structure added to pillager outposts, where a Houndmaster and 3 Scavengers spawn. Inside there's a chest with Houndmaster loot and a barrel filled with meat and bones.

Compatibility
Domestication Innovation - whistle commands "Follow/Heel", "Sit", and "Free" correspond to DI's "Follow", "Stay" and "Wander" commands. Command Drum will also work on Dogs.
Revamped Wolf - this mod adds its own wolf renderer, but still displays wolf armor from RW. Wolf armor can be equipped on Dogs, but it doesn't display on them currently. The new AI added by this mod for wolves also has equivalents for AI changes that would have been added by RW.
Mutant More - Rodling will obey the "Sit" whistle command, as expected.
Farmer's Delight - Dog Food will work on Dogs.

Gameplay Features
Wild wolves cannot be tamed - they run away from players who approach them without sneaking.
If you sneak close enough, you can breed two wild wolves to obtain a "trusting" baby wolf who won't run away from you or other players.
Give 20 bones to your "trusting" wolf to tame it.
Dogs have 10 hearts of health and deal 2 hearts of damage.
Wolves now have 12.5 hearts of health and deal 2.5 hearts of damage (previously it was 10 hearts of health and 2 hearts of damage).
Scavengers have 15 hearts of health and deal 3 hearts of damage.
Houndmasters have 12 hearts of health and are armed with a bow.
Houndmaster Kennels are generated as part of pillager outposts.
Dogs spawn in villages and respawn inside them every 60 seconds, following cat spawn rules.
Give a dog a bone, and it will dig up a random animal-related item from the ground nearby.
You can play fetch with your dog by throwing a bone or a stick.

Technical Notes
If a pet is not responding to your whistle commands, right-click the pet and try again.
Not all whistle commands work with every type of pet. For example, "Attack" only works on pets that have attack AI, and "Sit" only works on pets capable of sitting, like wolves and cats.
Dogs, wolves, and scavengers use the newer Brain AI system developed by Mojang. They may not work with mods that add AI tasks to them using the older Goal Selector AI system.
