Allay, behave !
A mod for improving quality of life when interacting with allays in Minecraft.
Main Features
Allay Calling
Allays that like you can be summoned in two ways: by crouching while looking at them, or by typing their name in chat. Called allays will follow you closely for several seconds or as long as you maintain eye contact. During this period, they will stay close even if you take their item away. They will forget about their favorite note block and won't be distracted by nearby items or note blocks.
While calling an allay by sight requires precise crosshair targeting, maintaining contact afterward is easier - just looking in their direction is enough, allowing you to control multiple allays simultaneously.
To release allays early, use the left mouse button.
Teleportation
Allay teleportation has limitations compared to tamed animals. They only teleport to players they are actively trying to reach.
Allays cannot teleport if:
- Bound to a note block
- Collecting items
- Too far away (more than 64 blocks), preventing world-spanning teleportation
Currently, allays cannot teleport between dimensions.
Additional Improvements
- Allay Movement: You can push allays that like you with the left mouse button to move them out of construction areas
- No Player Collisions: Allays no longer push players during collisions, preventing falls from block edges and crosshair displacement
- Improved Item Giving: Allays aim higher when giving items to prevent trying to give them through floors
Technical Features
Almost all functions work completely server-side. Only player collisions are handled client-side.
