AmbientOverride StationAPI for Minecraft Beta 1.7.3
This is a client-side mod that introduces comprehensive changes to the fog system in Minecraft Beta 1.7.3. All settings can be adjusted via GlassConfigAPI.
Key features of the modification
The mod offers several approaches to fog creation. You can choose exponential density growth or the classic linear method used in older versions.
Each biome now features a unique fog color, with coloration intensity varying from day to day, creating a more lively and dynamic world.
Underground effects
When descending into caves, the fog color becomes less saturated and gradually darkens as you approach lower world levels. Fog density increases when the player reaches Y=28 level, with this threshold shifting slightly up or down daily.
Daily changes
Every night, starting at midnight, there's a chance for morning fog to appear, lasting from 100 to 400 seconds and gradually dissipating after sunrise.
When light levels decrease, fog density slightly increases, enhancing the feeling of darkness and danger.
Deep darkness
Near bedrock levels, fog becomes significantly denser and darker, creating the characteristic "void fog" familiar to players from older Minecraft versions.
The maximum intensity of each effect can be disabled or configured separately. All values change daily at midnight, and the base fog density can also be individually configured through the GlassConfigAPI 3 system.
