Amendments

About the Mod

Amendments is a highly customizable modification project that introduces various improvements to standard Minecraft blocks. The main development goal is to expand functionality and enhance the visual design of existing game elements without adding completely new objects.

This project was created by merging several previously existing modifications, eliminating the need for their separate installation. The following components are included:

• Carpeted stairs
• Improved lily pads
• Enhanced jukeboxes
• Some elements from Supplementaries

Key Features

Cauldrons

Can now store ANY liquid, be used for mixing potions and dyes. When interacted with, attempts to craft the item in hand with the contained liquid. Enhanced animation includes splashes and bubbles when falling, missing sound effects added. Cauldrons with water or potion can boil when there's a heat source below, dealing boiling damage. Stepping into a cauldron with splash or lingering potions applies the respective effects. Updated model includes transparency and ambient occlusion.

Lecterns

When holding a Book and Quill, opens a new interface with Quill and Ink Well buttons. Ink Well allows switching between available text colors, while Quill switches between different fonts. Added ability to interact with hoppers!

Lanterns

New three-dimensional animation when held in hand works in both first and third person. Can be placed on walls - compatible with ANY lanterns. When hanging, demonstrate pendulum physics!

Hanging Signs

Can hold items on both sides, display banner patterns (requires Supplementaries). When attached to walls, swing with physical behavior! Display visual connection when attached to fences, walls, or similar blocks.

Jukeboxes

Visually display the playing record with improved model. Disc spins during playback. Compatible with ANY records, including modded ones.

Carpets

Can be placed on slabs and stairs. Moss carpets work similarly.

Cakes

Can be stacked on top of each other - works with ANY cakes. Standard cakes can also be rotated.

Lily Pads

Can have any blocks placed on them, turning them into waterlogged blocks when occupying the space below. Return to original state after block removal. Can work with any lily pads (feedback needed).

Mob Skulls

Can be stacked - works with ANY skulls in any combination. Can have candles placed on top, leaving wax overlay on the skull.

Brewing Stands

Potion bottles now color according to their contents.

Banners and Pots

Can be placed on ceilings.

Bells

Visually connect to chains and ropes below them. Can be rung by interacting with chain/rope below.
