The Animal Garden - Porcupine mod introduces charming porcupines into the game that can be tamed and kept as pets. These spiky creatures will become loyal companions in your adventures.

Behavior Features

Porcupines possess a unique defense system - any aggressive mob or player approaching them too closely will be pricked by sharp quills. This makes them not only cute pets but also effective defenders.

Taming and Breeding

To tame a porcupine, use apples. Once the animal becomes your friend, you can breed it using sweet berries. Interestingly, sweet berries also slightly restore the porcupine's health.

Habitat and Settings

By default, porcupines spawn in forest biomes, but you can change this behavior. To configure spawning, edit JSON files in the data -> biome tags and biome modifier folders, or use a resource pack.

Technical Characteristics

Porcupines have increased durability compared to regular mobs - their armor is enhanced by default, making them more resilient in combat.
