Animatium
The Animatium mod offers players of modern Minecraft versions everything they might need. It returns animations from the 1.7/1.8 era and adds new capabilities.
Required dependencies
This mod requires the YACL library for configuration settings. Make sure to install the correct version to avoid crashes.
Known limitations
When using Lunar Client, some features may not work properly. Lunar Client in some cases has priority in enable/disable settings.

🏃 Movement
Sneaking
- Smooth sneaking – activates smooth camera animation when sneaking, like in versions 1.8-1.12.2
- Sneak animation interpolation – returns sneak camera animation interpolation from versions ≤1.7.x
- Visual sneak eye height – changes eye height when sneaking, like in versions ≤1.13.2
- Feet position when sneaking – fixes sneak model offset, like in versions <1.14
- Player model synchronization – synchronizes player model with eye height, like in ≤1.7.x
- Sneak animation in flight – shows sneak animation in third person when flying down, like in ≤1.13.x
Cape
- Cape movement – changes cape model movement to how it was in ≤1.12.x
- Cape tilt restriction – removes cape tilt restriction. Disable for OptiFine cape physics compatibility
- Cape swing with body – enables/disables cape swinging in unison with body when swinging arm
- Cape shift with chestplate – prevents cape shifting when equipping chestplate, like in ≤1.15.x
- Cape position when sneaking – positions cape when sneaking, like in ≤1.7.x
Other
- Rotation when walking backwards – turns entity body when walking backwards, like in ≤1.11.2
- Head rotation when blocking – reverts 1.20.2 changes in head rotation when blocking
- Head rotation interpolation – enables/disables head rotation interpolation from ≤1.7.x
- Camera tilt – returns camera tilt when falling/flying up from ≤1.13.x (Fixes MC-225335)
- View bobbing – reverts view bobbing changes in 1.21.2+
- Death animation – allows entities to continue animation after death
- Bow arm movement – restores old body movement when using bow in third person
- Damage tilt – returns old damage tilt logic from ≤1.19.4
- Damage time offset – offsets damage tilt time by -1, like in ≤1.7
📷 Interface
Interface settings include:
- Crosshair in third person – shows crosshair in third person, like in ≤1.8.x
- High attack speed indicator – hides attack indicator at very high attack speed
- Heart blinking – removes heart blinking, like in ≤1.7.x
- Strikethrough text – changes strikethrough text position, like in ≤1.12.2
- List centering – centers scrollable lists, like in ≤1.7.x
- List border color – returns old selected list item border color from ≤1.15
- Button text colors – returns old button text colors from ≤1.14.4
- Debug screen background – enables/disables F3 debug screen background
- Debug screen text shadow – adds text shadow to F3 debug screen
- Camera transparency – enables/disables camera passthrough through glass in third person, like in ≤1.15
- Tooltip style – restores tooltip texture corners removed in 1.21.2
- Slot hover style – restores old inventory slot hover visual
- Effects position – returns old potion effects position in inventory from ≤1.11/1.19
- Recipe book – hides recipe book from inventory, including button
- Camera version – changes camera position to that from specified versions (1.8 and below, 1.9-1.13.2, 1.14-1.14.3, LATEST)

Fishing rod
- Fishing rod texture check – enables/disables fishing rod texture check from ≤1.8
- Line interpolation – correctly interpolates fishing line with eye height from <1.14?
- Fixed line – doesn't move fishing line when sneaking in third person from ≤1.7
- Line position in third person – adjusts horizontal fishing line position, like in ≤1.7
- Line thickness – restores old fishing line thickness from <1.13?
- Super thin line – makes fishing line very thin
- Stick model – shows fishing rod model as stick when casting in third person from ≤1.7.x
Enchantment glint
- Glint speed – restores old enchantment glint speed from ≤1.8.x
- Glint on dropped items – disables glint on dropped items for compatibility with <1.7.x
- Glint in frames – disables glint on framed items for compatibility with <1.7.x
2D items
- Facing camera – makes items turn toward camera, like in ≤1.7.x
- Rotation fix – makes 2D items also face camera pitch
- 2D dropped items display – makes dropped items appear 2D (except blocks)
- 2D frames – makes framed items appear 2D (except blocks)
- 2D item colors – restores old 2D item colors
Item transformations
- Item positions – tilts held item positions, like in ≤1.7.x
- Third person positions – tilts held item positions in third person, like in ≤1.7.x
- Thin blocks – shifts held positions of thin blocks, like in ≤1.7.x
- Skull position – positions skull blocks, like in 1.8.x
- Fishing rod version – positions fishing rod in first person, like in specified versions (1.7 and below, 1.8, LATEST)

- Swinging – various swing animation and interaction settings
- Usage texture in interface – enables/disables item usage texture in interface
- Durability colors – restores old durability colors from <1.11

Server features
Currently available is one payload that servers can use to change game functionality for PvP. Only servers can enable/disable this feature to avoid issues on other servers.
Payloads
Set features (server to client)
Allows server to enable/disable features that enhance gameplay. Sends list of features client should use.
- Miss penalty – enables/disables swing miss penalty
- Left click item usage – enables/disables ability to start using item while holding left click
Request info (server to client)
Request sends back payload with mod version information.
Info (client to server)
Sent to server upon receiving "registration" payload and contains mod version information and possible development version.
