Anti Creative Drift
This client-side Fabric mod addresses a common movement issue in creative mode. When flying through the air, your character gradually slows down after stopping movement, creating a "drift" effect. This modification completely eliminates this drift.
The main function is particularly useful for players using gamepads or controllers in Java Edition - for example, on devices like Steam Deck. The project was originally created specifically for such usage scenarios.
Important warning: some servers may detect changes in character movement mechanics and take appropriate measures.
Configuration
In singleplayer, the command /anticreativedrift config set driftDiminishTicks is available, allowing you to configure the duration of movement completion during flight. This parameter determines how quickly your character stops after ceasing flight.
An alternative way to edit settings is through the configuration file located in your game instance folder at anticreativedrift/config.json.
Additional Information
Updates for newer versions of Minecraft will be released as they become ready. The mod can be freely added to any modpacks provided that a link to the original project page is included.
