Anti Mob Farm
Against Automatic Mob Farming
This mod addresses the issue of excessive automated mob killing by reducing loot drops in chunks where too many creatures have been eliminated. The main idea is to maintain game balance and make the resource gathering process more natural.
How It Works
The system tracks the number of kills in each chunk and gradually decreases the chance of loot drops when reasonable limits are exceeded. During normal gameplay, you move through different locations, eliminating a small number of enemies in each area - in this case, the mod has almost no effect on gameplay.
Key Features
Free Kills: Each chunk provides a certain number of kills without any penalties. This allows you to calmly clear caves, dungeons, and other locations, receiving full rewards.
Dynamic Penalty: After exceeding the limit, a penalty system comes into effect. Each new kill increases the penalty, reducing the probability of loot drops. Over time, the penalty gradually decreases, allowing you to return to this area later.
Ideal Application
The mod is particularly useful for RPG and adventure packs where developers want to prevent the automation of mob farming. It encourages world exploration and diverse gameplay instead of creating static farms.
The system is designed to be fair - in most situations, players won't even notice its influence. The exception might be modpacks with frequent base raids and invasions.
The mod is compatible with Mine and Slash from the same developer.
