Apathetic Mobs

Tired of constant mob attacks when you just want to explore the world? Afraid of Endermen and the Ender Dragon? Annoyed that many modpacks require mob drops but you don't want to constantly fight? Then this mod is made exactly for you!

Main idea: install the mod and play on any difficulty (easy, medium, hard, or even hardcore), while mobs won't attack you. You can safely approach any creatures and destroy them without risk of retaliation.

Who it's useful for

For players: Get pseudo-peaceful mode while preserving the ability to obtain mob drops. Perfect for modpacks that require creature resources but lack special peaceful scripts.

For server owners: Use the whitelist option to support players who prefer peaceful gameplay. The command /apatheticwhitelist <get/add/remove> <playername> allows managing the exception list.

For pack makers: Set difficulty lock to "easy" mode. This way players can choose between peaceful experience (easy difficulty) and normal gameplay (medium/hard).

Settings and features

• Blacklist: Exclude specific mobs from the system
• Boss exclusion: Disable passivity for bosses marked by other mods
• Whitelist: Configure which specific mobs will ignore the player
• Revenge mode: Mobs can attack back if you attack them first
• Revenge timer: Set the time after which the mob stops seeking revenge (without timer, revenge is eternal!)
• Difficulty lock: The mod works only on selected difficulty levels
• Player whitelist: The system can ignore certain players (on servers)
• Special boss settings: Separate configuration for Ender Dragon and Wither

Compatibility

• 100% with vanilla mobs (including bosses)
• Thaumcraft (tested with all mobs)
• Ice and Fire (tested, except sirens - they lure but don't attack)
• Botania Gaia Guardian (safe if not provoked)
• Grimoire of Gaia (full compatibility)
• Rough Mobs
• Chaos Dragon: projectiles don't spawn (with correct configuration)
• 75% FTB: Interactions (except Ender Chicken and Chaos Dragon)
