Aperture

Important Update: The Aperture mod is no longer maintained by McHorse. Development has now been taken over by Chryfi. The project continues to evolve thanks to Chryfi and other community contributors. Efforts are underway to port the mod to newer game versions.
Key Information: This Minecraft mod pertains exclusively to photography and videography within the game and has no connection to Aperture Science from the Portal game series.
What is Aperture?
Aperture is an advanced mod for creating cinematic scenes and complex camera shots in Minecraft. Using the built-in camera editor GUI, you can design intricate camera movement trajectories for filming roleplays, machinimas, or any other video projects.
The mod supports Forge for Minecraft 1.12.2 (previous versions are available for 1.10.2 and 1.11.2). Localizations are also available: Chinese language and Russian language.
Installation and Compatibility
Aperture requires:
- Installed Minecraft Forge
- Required dependency mod ❝McLib❞
- Place the downloaded jar file in the ❝mods❞ folder and launch the game
Main Features
Aperture provides advanced camera tools that significantly expand standard capabilities:
- Camera Profiles - ability to save and load filming configurations
- Positioning Modes - various building blocks within profiles for flexible camera movement setup
- Movement Modifiers - trajectory post-processing with special effects
- Minema Integration - compatibility with popular video recording tool
Who is this mod for?
If you create roleplays or machinimas in singleplayer and already use the Blockbuster mod - Aperture will be the perfect addition to your projects. It offers significantly more flexible camera settings compared to other alternatives.
Important: Although limited server support exists, developers do not recommend using Aperture in multiplayer mode due to unstable network implementation.
