Apothic Spawners
Apothic Spawners represents a module for modifying mob spawners, included in the Apotheosis mod. This addon opens up for players the possibility of fine-tuning spawners using ordinary items from vanilla gameplay, allowing the creation of significantly more efficient and faster creature spawning systems.
Mob Spawner Configuration
Mob spawners can now be collected using the Silk Touch enchantment. Each spawner possesses a set of characteristics that determine its behavior. Basic parameters correspond to standard Minecraft settings:
- Minimum Spawn Delay - the minimum interval (in ticks) between creature appearances
- Maximum Spawn Delay - the maximum interval (in ticks) between creature appearances
- Spawn Count - the maximum number of simultaneously spawning creatures
- Max Nearby Entities - the limit on the number of mobs of this type within the effective radius, exceeding which stops the spawner from working
- Player Range - the distance (in blocks) within which a player must be located to activate the spawner
- Spawn Range - the area (in blocks) within which creatures appear
Advanced Features from Apotheosis
The mod adds additional advanced settings:
- Initial Health - the percentage of maximum health with which mobs spawn
- Ignore Players - the spawner activates regardless of player presence in the action zone
- Ignore Conditions - disabling all standard spawning rules for this creature type
- Redstone Control - requiring a redstone signal for activation
- Ignore Light - spawning occurs regardless of light level
- No AI - spawned mobs lose artificial intelligence but remain subject to gravity and external forces
- Silent - creatures make no sounds
- Youthful - mobs spawn as babies when possible
- Burning - creatures spawn on fire
- Echoing - additional loot drop when mobs die
Spawner Modifiers
To change spawner characteristics, special spawner modifiers are used. These are recipes requiring one or two items in the player's hands. When right-clicking on a spawner with these items, corresponding characteristic changes are applied. Each modifier has individual limits on the parameters it can modify and can affect multiple characteristics simultaneously.
Hovering the cursor over modified parameters displays the characteristic description and modifier-specific minimum or maximum values.
Creature Capturing
The module also adds the Capturing enchantment that can be applied to swords. This enchantment gives a chance for spawn eggs to drop when killing mobs. Spawn eggs are used to change the type of creature that appears from the spawner.
