AppleSkin
The AppleSkin modification significantly improves the interface related to food and hunger in Minecraft. This is primarily a client-side mod, but for accurate display of saturation and exhaustion values on the client, it must be installed on the server as well.
Main Features
Food Information in Tooltips

When hovering over food in the inventory, detailed information about its nutritional properties is displayed.
Saturation and Exhaustion Visualization in Interface

Additional indicators appear on the hunger bar, showing your character's current saturation and exhaustion levels.
Restoration Preview

When holding food in hand, it displays how much hunger and saturation you will restore after consuming it.

Also shows potential health restoration if the food has healing properties.
Additional Functions
- Information about hunger, saturation, and exhaustion is added to the debug menu (F3)
- Saturation and exhaustion values are synchronized with the client for accurate display
Important Note
AppleSkin does not add new game mechanics, but only makes existing, yet hidden from the player, parameters visible. To understand the mechanics of exhaustion and saturation, it is recommended to read the corresponding article in the Minecraft wiki.
Compatibility with Vanilla Servers
For the saturation and exhaustion functions to work when connecting to vanilla Minecraft servers, you can use one of the following plugins:
- AppleSkinSpigot
- PaperApple
The mod can be freely added to any modpacks.
