Aqua Regia
A Minecraft Mod Based on Acid Chemistry
This modification presents a unique chemical system that allows creating various acids and using them for resource processing. The main feature is the ability to obtain aqua regia - a powerful acid mixture capable of dissolving gold.
In the real world, aqua regia actually exists and is used for dissolving noble metals, and now this technology is available in Minecraft!
Getting Started
To begin working with the mod, you'll need to gather several key resources: salt, sulfur, and niter. These ores generate in all biomes at different height levels. Take a bucket of water and place it in a crafting table - this will create "neutral water". By combining this water with sulfur, niter, or salt, you can create various types of acids using recipes based on real chemical processes.
By mixing acids in the correct proportion, you'll obtain aqua regia that can dissolve gold. The dissolved gold can be precipitated with additional sulfur, and the resulting dust can be smelted into standard ingots. When performed correctly, you can obtain significantly more gold from each ore compared to regular furnace smelting.
