Aquaacrobaticslegacy
The Aquaacrobaticslegacy mod brings modern movement mechanics from newer Minecraft versions to version 1.7.10. The main focus is on swimming and other character mobility improvements.
Main Features
Swimming Mechanics
When the player starts sprinting underwater, swimming mode is activated. This not only increases movement speed in aquatic environments but also adds beautiful animations, making water exploration more engaging.
Improved Stealth Movement
Character height while sneaking is reduced to 1.5 blocks instead of the standard 1.65. This change allows navigating through narrower passages and gaps.
Adaptive Character Model
The player's hitbox automatically adjusts to the available space. If there isn't enough room around, the character remains in a crouched state even after releasing the sneak key. This feature also enables crawling through one-block-high openings.
Smooth Eye Level Changes
The mod fixes the issue with abrupt eye level changes, ensuring smooth transitions when changing posture.
Water Visual Improvements
New water colors and fog from the "Update Aquatic" have been added. The color scheme is configurable through the settings file. The mod automatically supports compatibility with Biomes O' Plenty.
Additional Improvements
- Air meter no longer refills instantly after surfacing
- Simplified elytra takeoff as in Minecraft 1.15+
- Sideways sprinting
- Sprint activated without double-tapping the key
Compatibility
The mod works well with many popular mods, including Mo' Bends, Morph, More Player Models, Wings, and ArtemisLib.
Technical Requirements
Installation of MixinBootstrap or Mixin 0.7-0.8 Compatibility is required for the mod to function, as they provide the necessary Mixin framework. Without these mods, Aquaacrobaticslegacy will not load.
It is also recommended to install MixinBooter to improve compatibility with other mods.
Known Compatibility Issues
The mod is incompatible with:
- Idō
- Better Sprinting
- Thicc Entities (you can use the Entifier fork instead)
There are also compatibility issues with TickCentral, but a workaround solution exists.
