Arcwise - Puffish Skill Tree
Arcwise is a Minecraft modification that integrates with the Pufferfish skills system, offering players diverse skill trees and additional functions. This project actively utilizes almost all attributes available in Pufferfish.
Getting Started
Singleplayer Installation:
- Ensure all required dependencies compatible with the current Arcwise version are installed
- Place all three mods in the "Mods" folder
- Launch Minecraft, create a new world - ready!
Multiplayer Setup:
- Install required dependencies matching the Arcwise version
- Place all three mods in the "Mods" folder on the client and repeat on the server
- Launch the game, connect to the server - you can play!
Compatibility and Versions
Arcwise supports Fabric, Neoforge, and Forge for various Minecraft versions. The mod will be regularly updated following Pufferfish Skills/Attributes updates. Currently, full compatibility has been achieved with all versions supported by Pufferfish Skills & Attributes - from 1.18.2 to 1.21.4.
Skill System
Combat Skills
Experience is earned by defeating entities (zombies, pigs, cows, skeletons). Available improvements include:
- Attack Speed: 5% and 10%
- Knockback: 5% and 10%
- Melee Damage: 5% and 10%
- Ranged Damage: 5% and 10%
- Resistance: 5% and 10%
- Additional Heart: +1
Experience amount depends on weapon type:
- Wooden Sword: 1 XP
- Stone: 2 XP
- Golden: 2 XP
- Iron: 3 XP
- Diamond: 4 XP
- Netherite: 5 XP
Different mobs provide different experience:
- Enderman: 5 XP
- Elder Guardian: 50 XP
- Warden: 100 XP
- Ender Dragon: 1000 XP
- Bow: 10 XP
- Crossbow: 7 XP
Woodworking
Experience is awarded for chopping trees and other wooden structures. Skills include:
- Mining Speed: 5%
- Axe Speed: 5%
- Fortune: 5%
Experience depends on the tool:
- Wooden Axe: 1 XP
- Stone: 2 XP
- Golden: 2 XP
- Iron: 3 XP
- Diamond: 4 XP
- Netherite: 5 XP
Mining
Experience is gained by mining stone and various ores. Available bonuses:
- Mining Speed: 5%
- Pickaxe Speed: 5%
- Fortune: 5%
The tool-based experience system is similar to other skills. Different ores provide:
- Coal: 1 XP
- Copper: 2 XP
- Iron: 2 XP
- Lapis Lazuli: 3 XP
- Redstone: 3 XP
- Emerald: 10 XP
- Diamond: 3 XP
- Gold: 3 XP
- Nether Gold: 3 XP
- Nether Quartz: 3 XP
Excavation
Experience is awarded for digging dirt, gravel, and similar blocks. Skills:
- Mining Speed: 5%
- Shovel Speed: 5%
- Fortune: 5%
The tool experience system corresponds to other directions.
Tough Guy
Experience is earned by taking damage and consuming food. Available improvements:
- Resistance: 5%
- Ranged Resistance: 5%
- Melee Resistance: 5%
- Sprinting Speed: 5%
- Magic Resistance: 5%
- Stamina: 10%
Almost all food types provide the same experience amount - 1 XP per unit.
Vampire
Experience is gained by dealing damage to entities. Special abilities:
- Life Steal
- Resistance Shred: 5%
- Toughness Shred: 5%
- Armor Shred: 5%
- Protection Shred: 5%
- Stamina: 10%
Herbalism
Experience is awarded for harvesting crops, bamboo, grass, and other plants. Skills include:
- Jump: 5%
- Healing: 5%
- Stamina: 5%
Different sources provide:
- Flowers: 1 XP
- Crops: 1 XP
- Bamboo: 1 XP
- Grass: 1 XP
- Cactus: 1 XP
- Fishing: 3 XP
Arcanist
Experience is earned by dealing damage with potions. Available bonuses:
- Magic Resistance: 5%
- Magic Damage: 5%
- Magic Resistance Shred: 5%
Experience calculation system:
- Splash Potion of Harming: damage × 3 (works on all entities)
- Splash Potion of Healing: damage × 3 (works on undead mobs)
