Armor Overlay

The Armor Overlay mod completely transforms the standard armor bar in Minecraft, making the display of protection level more accurate and informative.

Main Features

With the introduction of the generic.armor attribute in version 1.9, it became possible to receive fractional protection values, but the standard armor bar only displays whole indicators. Armor Overlay solves this problem by showing every 0.25 protection point. Each full armor icon on the bar corresponds to one protection point and is displayed as 1/4 of an armor piece, unlike the vanilla version where each piece equals two points and is displayed as 1/2.

Flexible Configuration

The mod offers advanced configuration options. You can set the display with maximum precision up to 0.04167 protection points. This allows you to get the most detailed information about your current protection level.

Compatibility

For full use of fractional protection values, it is recommended to install the Armor Recalc mod, which adjusts damage calculations, making fractional protection points truly useful in combat.

Version for 1.7.10

In the version for Minecraft 1.7.10, the mod changes the armor bar, showing gold elements for each protection point above diamond level. When reaching full gold level, the display switches to diamond. Settings allow using 1/4 display instead of 1/2 or even a full armor piece per point, as well as configuring progression from leather to higher armor levels.

Additionally, text display of the numerical protection value is available.
