Armor Souls: Reforged [on indefinite hiatus]
This project is a reworking and development of the original Armor Souls mod by Count_Grimhart, adapted for modern versions of Minecraft.
Main Concept
The main goal of the mod is to provide players with more opportunities for personalizing the appearance of armor. In the standard game, all characters look practically the same in the late stages. Armor Souls fixes this situation by offering over 30 unique armor sets, equal in durability to diamond armor. Each set is designed in the style of various historical eras and cultures: medieval Europe, Japan's Sengoku period, the Middle East, and classical Rome.
The mod will especially appeal to fans of role-playing games and PvP battles between factions. Excellent companions for it include mods like Overlord, Minecraft Comes Alive, and CustomNPCs.
All recipes are created without a specific shape, which significantly simplifies memorizing them.
Quick Guide
To start interacting with souls, you first need to collect them. Begin by creating Ectoplasm: simply lay out three pieces of bread on a crafting table—and that's it! According to librarian research, souls are particularly attracted to bread.
The next step is finding a Blue Soul, which is the foundation for all others. To create it, you'll need a special mixture called Black Mass. Mix charcoal, bone meal, six ectoplasm balls, and a bottle of water, then place the resulting mixture in a furnace—a Blue Soul will appear.

When you have iron armor and a Blue Soul, place them on the crafting table. This will serve as an exchange ritual with the soul, which will create a new armor set for you.

Tip: Try feeding the Blue Soul various items. Start with bone meal.
