Terrifying Difficulty Enhancement
This mod represents a significantly improved and enhanced version of the original "CANTBREATHE : Asphyxiation". It transforms the already frightening opponent into a true nightmare, making it more powerful, faster, and adding new terrifying events that fully justify the name NIGHTMARE "CANTBREATHE".
What Awaits You
Nightmarish Pursuer
NIGHTMARE "CANTBREATHE" appears every 3-6 nights (interval configurable). After appearing, it slowly crawls and begins pursuing the player. If it fails to find you within 64 seconds (time configurable), it disappears.
When you spot it or approach within 20 blocks, a cutscene triggers, similar to Cave Dweller's detection scene but with unique features. You have only 5 seconds to escape. If it catches you, it immobilizes and instantly kills you by piercing your head with its arm (instant death configurable).
Nightmare Storm
With a 20% probability (configurable) when NIGHTMARE "CANTBREATHE" appears, true hell begins. First, a sudden jumpscare occurs, after which the entire world turns red, and dense dark fog appears, significantly limiting visibility.
Blood slowly rains from the sky, and red lightning strikes all mobs within an 8-block radius of the impact point. NIGHTMARE "CANTBREATHE" gains permanent Speed 1, while all players in the world suffer from permanent Slowness 1.
Parameter Configuration
In the config folder, a file "nightmare_asphyxation.toml" will appear with the following settings:
