Asynchronous Reprojection
This mod in its current development stage is more of a concept demonstration than actual optimization!
The mod has numerous issues and significantly reduces the performance of the main rendering thread (even when disabled). For objective performance comparison, it's recommended to use the game version without the mod installed.
What This Mod Does
Asynchronous Reprojection creates an additional rendering context that asynchronously reprojects frames from the main thread with updated camera position and player location.
Development was inspired by Comrade Stinger's demonstration, which also served as the basis for the shader code. You can watch the video here:
Known Issues
- The Fabric version works only on Windows and Linux (testing on macOS hasn't been conducted). The Forge version works exclusively on Windows.
- Screenshots (F2) and world icons don't work - they appear black.
- Minor graphical artifacts are observed.
- Camera bobbing functionality is disabled.
- "Fabulous" graphics mode doesn't differ from "Fancy".
- The camera sometimes rotates spontaneously when opening or closing the interface.
- The Forge version crashes when attempting to resize the window during startup.
- Random crashes sometimes occur without apparent reason.
