Auto Torch

Auto Torch is a client-side mod for Fabric that significantly simplifies the process of lighting up spaces in Minecraft. No more manual torch placement in dark areas!

How the mod works

To activate the automatic torch placement feature, simply place torches in your character's offhand. The system will automatically start placing light sources when the light level of the block beneath you drops below 4. Everything is extremely simple and intuitive!

Functionality control

Starting from version 1.3, it became possible to enable and disable the mod using a hotkey (default - left Alt). This allows you to temporarily pause automatic torch placement when necessary.

Light level adjustment

Since version 1.1, users can change the threshold light level at which automatic torch placement begins. Settings are available through Mod Menu or by editing the configuration file .minecraft/config/autotorch.json, where you can change the lightLevel parameter to your desired value.

Precise torch placement

Version 1.2 added the precise torch placement option. When activated, torches will always be placed exactly on the block your character is standing on. This feature is disabled by default as it may be considered an unfair advantage, so use it with caution.

Important: The mod only needs to be installed on the client. Server installation is not required.
