Bacchanalian Mobs

Bacchanalian Mobs offers a comprehensive and advanced approach to the mob system and combat with them. This project was created with the goal of surpassing existing mods of a similar genre.

Main Features

The "Dynamic Difficulty" system serves as both a condition and a multiplier for many mod functions. Difficulty points increase or decrease over time depending on player actions and the strength of their equipment.

Mobs receive customizable equipment and potion effects when spawning. They can increase their health, just like the player.

Damage multipliers are configurable, determining the damage mob "A" deals to mob "B", as well as multipliers for damage that mob "A" receives from damage source "X".

You can configure consequences (damage, armor-piercing damage, potion effects) that occur when a mob attacks the player and during defense (player attacks the mob).

System Modules

The "Features" module includes a set of individual AI tasks and behavior adjustments. For example: mobs can ride horses, perform long jumps, run away from TNT explosions; creepers can break through walls on their way to the player; spiders leave webs behind them and try to entangle their target.

The "Sight" module provides mobs with two X-ray vision modes. "Exact" mode - regular X-ray; "Cached" mode - the mob remembers the player's position at a specific moment in time and updates it when it sees that the player has already left that position.

Target reaching system: if a mob cannot reach the player, it may: summon a parrot as flying transport; jump over a pit; start breaking a pillar (if the player built a pillar of blocks to avoid danger).

"Lords" module: some mobs can become Lords. They receive a set of stat boosts and behavioral abilities. Abilities significantly change the mob's behavior, forcing the player to use different combat tactics.

Raids

Every 3 days at night, a raid occurs. During the raid, individual mobs spawn at random points around the player and, having X-ray vision, head towards them! Raid mob characteristics may differ from naturally spawning mobs.

Configuration

Bacchanalian Mobs provides very detailed configuration. You can configure literally everything! You can add a Condition to any mod function (only specific dimensions, biomes, Y-coordinate ranges, SRParasites evolution phases, player time spent in the game, dynamic difficulty points, player game stages) for selective application.

The "Mob List" system allows you to conveniently apply functions only to selected mobs without the need for repeated manual text copying.

Content is divided into Modules. Each module can be globally disabled. However, the configs are VERY detailed, and the average player may find them difficult to understand.

Compatibility

The mod supports integration with: Scape and Run: Parasites, Techguns, Game Stages, Better Player Respawn. (Links to these mods can be found in the "Relations" section)

You can use MixinBooter to access one setting: changing immunity frames for SRParasites.

I highly recommend installing the Custom Nausea mod. Some Bacchanalian Mobs functions apply the nausea effect. By default, it is implemented very poorly, and this mod will improve it.

Currently this mod is in development. I need your bug reports (especially non-standard situations in combination with other mods). I will also listen to your advice and add to the mod those that I like.

This mod remains on version 1.12.2. Any requests to move it to another version will be ignored.
