About the Mod

The Bag Of Holding mod offers three tiers of bags to solve inventory storage problems in Minecraft. Simply open the bag's inventory by right-clicking the item in your hotbar. But that's not the only way to interact! Use the bags directly from any inventory, similar to Minecraft's built-in bundles, but with much more functionality.

Key Features

Bag Tiers

The mod includes three types of storage bags: leather, iron, and gold. The only difference between them is the number of available slots: 9, 27, and 54 respectively (these values can be changed in the settings).

Convenient Management

Use bags through a dedicated menu or directly from inventory with simple interactions. Like with standard bundles, click other items on the bag in inventory to add or extract contents.

Informative Tooltips

The bag tooltip displays its contents. Hold the Alt key to force the tooltip to show, even when the cursor is holding another item or the bag itself. This is especially useful when interacting with contents.

Content Scrolling

When hovering over a bag, use the mouse wheel to select a specific slot for interaction. No longer need to extract items only in the order they were added.

Extended Information

When scrolling through bag contents, an additional tooltip appears to the left of the item for the selected slot. Great for distinguishing enchanted tools and other similar items!

Quick Management

While holding a bag on the cursor, use right-click + drag across multiple slots for bulk adding or extracting items when the dragged slots are empty.

Precision Mode

Hold the Ctrl key (Cmd on Mac) to enable precision mode - instead of moving entire stacks, only one item is moved. Use the mouse wheel to quickly select the desired amount.

Visual Indicators

Bags display small indicators when the cursor is holding an item, showing whether the item can be added and if it's already contained in the bag.

Loss Protection

Enchant your bag with preservation enchantment to prevent its loss upon death. The enchantment level decreases by one each time it's used.

Installation

Required Dependencies

• Required installation on client & server
• Requires PUZZLES LIB to be installed (for Forge and Fabric)
• Requires FABRIC API to be installed (Fabric only)
• Requires FORGE CONFIG API PORT to be installed (Fabric only)

Configuration

Configuration is easily adjustable directly in-game through the mod menu (requires Mod Menu installation for Fabric) or using Forge Config Screens for Forge.

For manual configuration, all files are located in the .minecraft/config folder and are named MOD_ID-client.toml, MOD_ID-common.toml, or MOD_ID-server.toml depending on the configuration type. Not all types may exist for this mod.

On older mod versions, server configuration files are located in .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/serverconfigs, meaning separate configuration is needed for each world.
