Banner Capes ReForged

Looking for a way to showcase your unique banner designs? This modification allows converting any custom banners into stylish cloaks for your character!

This new wardrobe item occupies the chest armor slot - everyone's character can wear banner capes. The mod also supports integration with Curios API and its Back slot, with priority given to the main armor slot. When equipping elytra, the cape automatically becomes hidden.

Creating the Cape

Creation begins with preparing the base - Cape Harness. The simple recipe requires just several iron ingots and string.

Converting Banners into Capes

Using a smithing table, combine any of existing banner color schemes with the Cape Harness base to obtain a finished Banner Cape.

Enhanced Versions

Want more functionality? Place the already created cape along with elytra in a smithing table - you'll get a Banner Elytra Cape! Particularly valuable is that all existing enchantments from elytra are fully transferred to the new item. Such capes inherit elytra durability stats and can accept the same enchantments. It's worth noting that these enhanced versions are not compatible with the Curios slot and only occupy the main armor slot.
