Barely Simple Staff

This mod introduces a collection of various staffs that can be crafted and customized according to your needs.

Types of Staffs

The mod adds 6 main types of staffs (and one secret one that players need to discover):

Wooden Staff A basic variant that is slightly weaker than a wooden sword but has a faster attack speed.

Bamboo Staff The special feature of this weapon is the accumulation of bonuses - each successful hit increases movement speed, mining speed, and resistance. The effect has a maximum limit, but when used correctly, it can become a very powerful tool.

Bone Staff Comparable in strength to a stone sword but has hidden potential. To activate special properties, you need to take a suitable material in your left hand and the staff in your right hand, then use the right mouse button. Currently available materials include: rotten flesh, spider eye, slimeball, magma cream, chorus fruit, ink sac, glow ink sac.

Blaze Staff Similar to an iron sword in characteristics but has additional fire properties. Sets mobs on fire when hitting them, and when landing a critical hit on a burning enemy, it extinguishes them and deals damage equal to the remaining burning time.

Shepherd's Staff Similar in characteristics to the wooden staff but has reverse knockback when hitting mobs. Additional feature - sheep start following the player when they hold this staff in their hand. Can be obtained through trading with master-level shepherds.

Resonance Staff An improved netherite version of the shepherd's staff with iron sword characteristics. Retains the reverse knockback effect and the ability to be modified like the bone staff, but with different materials: amethyst shard, diamond, emerald, lapis lazuli, quartz, echo shard.

New Enchantments

The mod also adds several unique enchantments:

• Vaulting - allows performing a high jump, applicable to most staffs
• Dodging - enables dodging in the movement direction, available for the bamboo staff
• Domestication - makes all animals follow the player, works with shepherd's and resonance staffs
• Yearning - increases the movement speed of animals following the player, applicable to shepherd's and resonance staffs
• Critical Fixing - repairs the item's durability when landing a critical hit, available for the bamboo staff
