Basic Ingredients is a compact mod that provides a set of tools for recycling your items. This is my first official modification - expect more in the future!

Main Features

Currently, the mod adds four new tools:

Iron Cutting Knife

Diamond Cutting Knife

Mortar and Pestle

Reinforced Mortar and Pestle

These tools are used to disassemble various items and blocks back into their original components. Each crafting use consumes 1 durability point. Different tool types have varying durability:

• Iron Cutting Knife: 32 uses
• Diamond Cutting Knife: 200 uses
• Mortar and Pestle: 16 uses
• Reinforced Mortar and Pestle: 90 uses

Notably, iron and diamond cutting knives can also be used as weapons!

Crafting System

Recipes are shapeless combinations - simply place the cutting knife or mortar together with an item to disassemble it. You receive only one type of original components (usually the most valuable one).

Additionally, you can create completely new items using mortar and cutting knife:

Important: some mortar recipes only work with the reinforced version, although there are no additional unique recipes for the diamond cutting knife.

Enhanced Tool Features

The reinforced mortar and diamond cutting knife not only have increased durability but also provide greater material yield. In most cases, they return approximately the same number of items as were used to create the disassembled object:
