BC remastered - Revival of Classic Buildcraft
Buildcraft remastered represents a fork of the famous Buildcraft mod that brings back time-tested mechanics from version 1.7, adapted for modern Minecraft versions. This project is completely open for modifications and distribution, preserving the original Buildcraft license.
Key Improvements and Changes
The mod restores many classic elements that were lost in later versions. The integration table is available again and supports JEI, significantly simplifying crafting. The entire energy system has returned to using RF, including kinetic pipes.
Emerald pipes have returned to the pipe system, while wooden diamond pipes have been removed. The iron kinetic pipe again serves as a configurable limiter. Liquid heating systems and oil distillation have been eliminated - only oil and fuel remain.
Enhanced Valves and Plugs
Valves have received updated textures from version 1.7, and valve modifiers have been removed. New triggers have been added for monitoring kinetic pipe overload and tracking energy transfer. Compatibility with Forestry (apiaries, engines, machines, farms) and any devices storing EU from IndustrialCraft 2 has also been implemented.
Among the new valve actions is the ability to change the throughput of iron kinetic pipes. Pipe plugs have been added to the system: redstone fader and redstone timer.
Missing Features
Some elements of the original Buildcraft are not yet implemented. Builders and fillers may be added in the future but require significant time investment. Robots are also absent - their functionality is successfully replaced by turtles from ComputerCraft.
Packager, stamping table, and charging table are temporarily not included in the mod since their practical application is limited in the current configuration.
Known Issues
When using some blocks, particles may be missing during interaction. This issue is under investigation and will be fixed in future updates.
