What is this mod?

Beta Nether is a modification that gives players the opportunity to explore the Nether dimension as it existed before the major 1.16 update. If you miss the classic Nether from older versions of Minecraft, this project was created specifically for you.

Main Features

Despite the return of the old landscape generation, you can still find elements from newer game versions in the world. Bastion remnants, as well as crimson and warped fungi, will appear in Nether fortress chests.

Creating a Retro Gaming Atmosphere

For maximum immersion in the nostalgic atmosphere, it's recommended to combine this mod with other projects that recreate old Minecraft mechanics. The Nostalgic Tweaks mod offers many authentic elements from past game versions, while the Golden Days resource pack brings back the visual style of Minecraft's golden era. You can also install the Modern Beta mod, which restores the classic generation of the main world.

Alternative Version

If you prefer to completely abandon all Nether-related innovations, there is a separate version of the mod that disables new mobs, structures, and loot tables.

Datapack Version

For those who want to use the restored Nether only in specific worlds, a version in datapack format is available that can be activated selectively.
