Better Animals Plus Plus
Better Animals Plus Plus is an updated version of Better Animals Plus that significantly improves animal behavior animations and artificial intelligence. Compared to the previous version, the changes are visible to the naked eye.
Key Improvements
Enhanced Animation
Developers have significantly reworked movement animations, removing excessive limb swinging in animals. Now the movement and behavior of mobs looks much more natural and smooth.
New Combat Mechanics
Many animals have received attack animations. Attack methods have been added for the following creatures:
Smarter Behavior
Deer now run away from the player when approached, demonstrating realistic behavior corresponding to their nature. Additionally, issues have been fixed with pathing correction to avoid meaningless circling in place.
Technical Problem Fixes
Developers have eliminated random spinning and other animation glitches that were particularly noticeable in large creatures.
Smart Aquatic Inhabitants
Sharks no longer have the problem of attacking on land. They now properly react to the player being out of water and stop pursuit when moving to shore.
Dangerous Zotzpyres
Previously, Zotzpyres were practically harmless creatures, but now they represent a real threat. Smart artificial intelligence allows them to leap at the player, and upon successful attack, the camera automatically switches to third-person mode.
New Combat Capabilities
Wolves and bears have gained the ability to knock down their target and immobilize it for several seconds, making encounters with these predators more tense and dynamic.
In development: The version includes backported functional features.
