Better Forests - Transformed Forest Landscapes

The Better Forests modification fundamentally changes the appearance of Minecraft forests, replacing standard monotonous vegetation with endlessly changing landscapes featuring numerous picturesque tree varieties.

Landscapes continuously vary: sometimes you encounter majestic ancient giants towering over the surrounding world.

In other areas, trees form cozy miniature groves creating a romantic atmosphere.

You'll find both homogeneous areas with trees of a single species forming orderly alleys and full-fledged groves.

As well as complex mixed communities where different species intertwine into a unified natural ensemble.

To transparent sparse plantings with excellent visibility and intriguing dark forests, each with unique composition and light levels.

Even in the densest and most majestic forests, an advanced lighting and planning system significantly reduces monster spawns during daylight hours (except in shadowy forests where they remain a threat).

The forest architecture in Better Forests uses traditional Minecraft materials but arranges them in impressive configurations. All presented tree types can be grown independently from saplings. Better Forests trees grow from groups of saplings in a 3x3 area: the central one determines the tree form, while the surrounding ones determine the wood components.

This is the release version of the module, expanding possibilities for your projects and providing numerous new locations to explore. Versions for Fabric and NeoForge are currently in development.
