Better Lush Caves

This datapack significantly enhances and expands the capabilities of lush caves, adding numerous new details and functionality.

Updated Lush Caves

Spore blossom particles now constantly appear in the biome's air, regardless of the presence of the plants themselves. Coal ore generates below y=0 level. Underground areas now contain patches of rooted dirt and grass blocks with flowers growing on them. Lily pads can be found on water surfaces. Bee nests with bees have appeared in the caves, and glow lichen now grows on moss, reducing the number of hostile mobs in these locations.

Decorated Aquifers

Unlike vanilla versions where aquifers remained empty, they are now richly decorated: containing moss, clay, tall and small dripleafs, sand, glow lichen, and seagrass.

Improved Azalea Generation

Azalea trees now appear more frequently when a lush cave is open to the sky. Rooted azaleas can only grow on dirt-like blocks, preventing their random appearance in deserts.

Moss Changes

When fertilizing moss with bone meal, there is now a chance of glow lichen appearing. If there is air space under the moss, spore blossoms and cave vines can be created.
