The Better Materials modification significantly expands standard game possibilities by introducing more realistic and practical materials for items, armor, and tools.
Important Information
- This modification is intended for Forge!
- Image: armor types
- In version 1.16.5, copper and amethyst items and armor are not included since these materials do not exist in this Minecraft version.
Modification Features
Blocks and Items
- Copper shears - equivalent to standard shears but with lower durability
- Flint block - compact flint storage, can be used for decorative purposes
- Charcoal block - efficient charcoal storage, used as decorative element and effective fuel same as regular coal blocks
Player and Horse Armor
Multiple new armor types are introduced:
- Copper - by durability and protection worse than iron but better than leather ~ Image: horse armor
- Emerald - by characteristics inferior to amethyst, superior to iron
- Amethyst - inferior to diamond in durability and protection, better than emerald
Horse armor is also available :)
Various Material Tools
- Bone tools - equivalent to wooden tools
- Flint tools - category of stone tools
- View: these tools When interacting: place under the named building/object below type mentions. Your progress effective target case parameter.
- Copper - lower durability than iron, stone harvest level (cannot mine diamonds), better than stone
- Emerald - worse durability, damage and mining speed than amethyst, iron harvest level, better than iron
- Amethyst - lower durability and damage than diamond but with diamond harvest level, better than emerald, mining speed equal to netherite
Important Notes
- All recipes can be found via Just Enough Items (JEI).
- If bugs are found, report them in the mod's GitHub repository.
