Better Safe Bed
This mod solves the common problem of being unable to sleep in a bed even when completely safe. The issue usually stems from a random mob hiding in a cave beneath your base, wandering outside its walls, or climbing onto the roof.
In standard Minecraft gameplay, there's a rule: if a "monster" is within 8 blocks horizontally and 5 blocks vertically from your bed, you'll see the message "You may not rest now, there are monsters nearby". This prevents sleeping until the monsters leave or are eliminated.
In practice, this means that if a monster is outside your base and your bed is against the wall, you won't be able to sleep.
To fix this situation, the Better Safe Bed mod introduces an additional check for mobs within range. Now you can sleep peacefully even when monsters are nearby but cannot attack you.
It's important to note that this is a server-side mod - it doesn't need to be installed on clients to work on a server. In singleplayer, the mod should be installed as usual.
