About the Mod

Better Tridents introduces several small but very useful improvements for tridents in Minecraft. The Loyalty enchantment becomes particularly more practical. Additionally, tridents now have a crafting recipe!

Key Features

Tridents Crafting - Tridents finally have a crafting recipe! All three elder guardians in an ocean monument now drop a new item - trident fragment. By combining three such fragments with several prismarine shards, you can create your own trident.

Tridents Repair - Use prismarine shards to repair your trident on an anvil when its durability is running low.

Smart Return - Tridents always return to the inventory slot they were thrown from when you pick them up.

Loss Protection - If a trident enchanted with Loyalty accidentally falls into the void, it will return to you instead of permanently disappearing from the world.

Loot Collection - Any loot from mobs, including items and experience points, will fly towards you along with the trident enchanted with Loyalty.

Improved Impaling Enchantment - This enchantment now works the same as in Bedrock Edition: any mob in contact with water or under rain receives increased damage, not just specific types of aquatic creatures.

Installation

REQUIRES FABRIC API TO BE INSTALLED (FABRIC)

REQUIRES FORGE CONFIG API PORT TO BE INSTALLED (FABRIC)

Configuration

If the mod supports settings, they can be changed directly in the game through the mod menu (requires Mod Menu by Prospector to be installed for Fabric). On older Minecraft versions, installation of Forge Config Screens may also be required.

For manual configuration using a text editor, all files are located in the .minecraft/config folder and are named MOD_ID-client.toml, MOD_ID-common.toml, or MOD_ID-server.toml depending on the configuration type. Not all file types may be present for each mod.
