Better Zombie ai - Smart Zombies for a Real Apocalypse
This mod fundamentally changes zombie behavior in Minecraft, turning them into a genuine survival threat. Zombies now possess advanced artificial intelligence that allows them to break blocks, build structures, and pursue players over vast distances.
Core Features
Zombies have gained numerous new abilities:
- Block Breaking: Can destroy almost any blocks in their path
- Construction: Capable of building structures to reach players
- Long-Range Pursuit: Detect targets up to 200 blocks away
- Smart Behavior: Can mine from above and navigate around obstacles
- Aggression Towards Other Mobs: Attack all non-zombies nearby
Configuration and Customization
Upon first launch, a settings menu appears where you can modify all mod parameters. Commands are also available for fine-tuning:
/startand/stop- initiate and halt the apocalypse/menu- open the settings menu- Customize block durability and breakability
- Adjust target detection range
- Manage zombie health and damage
Threat Evolution
Zombies grow stronger each day - their health and damage gradually increase. New infection effects have been added that can lead to player death after 3 minutes if not cured with milk.
Technical Features
The mod includes a "ghost blocks" system that restores the zombie-damaged world. New crafting recipes using decayed planks have been added, including crafting tables, sticks, and various building blocks.

For reduced performance impact, it's recommended to play with low render distance and unlimited FPS.
