Better hidden chat

This mod allows you to completely hide the chat in the game while maintaining the ability to send messages and execute commands. You can activate chat hiding using an assigned hotkey or through the /hidechat command.

Configuration is done through /hidechat subcommands:

• persistency - saves the hidden chat state on the next game launch if it was hidden when closed. Disabled by default.
• notifyChatShow - enables or disables notification when chat is shown. Enabled by default.
• notifyAsOverlay - switches the notification type between a chat message and an overlay message. Chat message is used by default.
• showWhileTyping - determines whether to show chat when typing if it's hidden. Disabled by default.

The mod requires Fabric API to work.
