Better Hoes

The Better Hoes mod introduces long-awaited changes to Minecraft's agricultural mechanics, making hoes truly useful tools. Now the quality of your hoe directly affects the amount of harvest collected!

How does it work?

Instead of the standard amount of crops you're used to harvesting, each hoe now adds bonus crop units. The better the hoe material, the more additional crops you'll get when harvesting.

Bonuses for different hoe types:

• Wooden hoe: +0.25 crops on average
• Stone hoe: +0.5 crops on average
• Iron hoe: +0.75 crops on average
• Diamond hoe: +1 crop on average
• Netherite hoe: +1.25 crops on average

Supported Crops

The system works with main agricultural crops:

• Wheat
• Carrots
• Potatoes
• Beetroots
• Nether wart
• As well as some crops from other mods

Important Change

For game balance, the hoe now loses 1 durability point when harvesting crops. This makes using quality hoes a more meaningful decision.

Compatibility

Better Hoes works excellently with modified hoes and many agricultural mods, providing versatility and flexibility in use.
