Big Reactors
Big Reactors is officially retired. Thank you all for downloading and enjoying this mod! If you're looking for a version of Big Reactors for newer versions of Minecraft, we endorse Bigger Reactors as our official successor — be sure to check it out!
Big Reactors focuses on building large-scale machines from multiple blocks or "components." It's designed to complement less realistic mods like Thermal Expansion, Applied Energistics 2, and Minefactory Reloaded. These mods offer exciting ways to manage and "industrialize" your Minecraft world, utilizing a shared power framework.
The core development goal is to provide engaging and fun power systems "inspired by" real-world counterparts while maintaining a lighthearted "video game" feel. Setting up your reactor, modifying it, and finding optimal configurations should be enjoyable. More power? Less fuel consumption? A massive automated mega-reactor? It's up to you.
We also aimed to move away from complex interfaces with numerous settings. A reactor shouldn't be a series of toggles in a menu or slots in an inventory.
A reactor is a giant, humming machine that you build piece by piece, and every component you add affects how it operates!
The result? Big Reactors.
