BitHop
The BitHop mod was created for ModJam 5/2018.1 and requires Shadowfacts' Forgelin to function.
BitHop provides lightweight hoppers with minimal impact on server performance. Unlike standard hoppers, they cannot extract items from inventories, pick up items from the ground, interact with hopper minecarts, or be disabled with redstone signals. The question arises: why are they needed then? The answer is simple:

BitHops are designed as a solution close to vanilla for item transportation systems. You will still use a regular hopper at the beginning of the chain, but the rest of the system won't waste ticks on picking up items or extracting from chests, significantly reducing server load. Additionally, creating BitHops is cheaper than making standard hoppers:

The mod also adds FluxHop - a hopper that cannot pick up items from the ground but can transmit both RF energy and items. By default, it transfers 200 RF/tick, but this value can be changed in the settings.

ScrewHop allows sending items upwards but at an angle, moving them one block up and one block forward.

Finally, PullHop extracts items from above and pushes them forward but does not interact with entities, skipping resource-intensive object checks.

Overall, BitHops are the optimal choice for organizing long transportation systems on servers where performance matters. Future additions are planned:
- Sideways hoppers
- Hoppers with built-in filtering
- Customizable hoppers
